Fred Bourland Inducted into the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame

Fred Bourland

Cotton industry legend Fred Bourland was recently inducted into the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame. Fred grew up on his family’s farm in northeast Arkansas and then attended the University of Arkansas. In the 1980s, he became a professor at the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, and in 1997, he moved to Keiser to continue his cotton breeding and research while serving as director for the NEA Research and Extension Center.
